Fighting God

When you read the title of this blog you were probably thinking I would never fight God. But if you really think about it we do it so often its like second nature. Gods tells us to stop and we go, God tells us to move and we stay, God tells us to do many things and we play tug a war to get our way! Instead of listening the first time we keep it going and then have to suffer consequences for our actions.

Key phase is get "OUR" way! We so often put ownership on everything we THINK we provided for ourself but God gave us everything that we have. Our life, car, job, house or apartment, clothes, everything! I continue to say us and we because I'm guilty also!

So the reason I decided to write this blog post was for all who are fighting God when it comes to a relationship that you know is so toxic for your life but you ignore the poison knowing that its harming you mentally. For example:

- You know he/she doesn't care but you continue give your all.
- You know he/she has no real intentions with you but you keep dreaming and hoping (STOP!)
- You know he/she is talking to other people and you act like your the only one (You're not!) or simply ignore it.
- You know that you both are going down two different paths in life that just do not mix.
- The biggest: You have so much history with the person that you don't want to let the relationship/situationship go down the drain (let it go down the drain in the sewer and die! Lol no really I'm serious let it go down the drain!)

Situationship is defined as two people talking, hanging out, dating and/or friends with benefits but has no title and not really progressing! One person pretty much doesn't not want to make a real commitment to the other. SITUATIONSHIP!

I have a been a situationship for so long its normal to me but I realized this is not normal. I questioned myself recently when did this become normal to me and how. I didn't even have an answer for myself and that hurt to know I may not have cared about myself to stop the relationship before it turned into a "situationship". So I had to come to grips with myself that a change needed to be made and it all starts with my being honest with myself and the other person. Praying to God earneslty to change my heart and keep me strong enough to let go and allow him to take control and trust him wholeheartedly.

I say all this to make a point that we must stop fighting God and staying in relationships/situationships because we are trying to fight through the struggle and just have high hopes for everything working out for the better. When in reality its never going to work because its not in God's plan and we know this!

So be honest with yourself, let go, and give up the fight. And if you're having difficulties pulling your words together to break things off pray about it. I promise God will give you all the words.

Proverbs 3:5&6 says it best!

5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding 6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your path straight

Until next time!

The 45 Day Product Challenge

I am currently transitioning from relaxed hair to natural hair. This is a journey for sure! Today I pulled out the random products that I have brought over the last year or two. And I must say it was wayyyy too many so I challenged myself to use the same products for the next 45 days and see what they do to my hair. Did they dry out my hair? Did they add moisture? Love or hate relationship with the product?

Today is January 2nd, 45 days from this date is February 16th. Below are all the products that I will be using and I will tell you exactly how I will be using them.

Let's start!
This is the best Cowash I have ever used.  I will be using this in place of Shampoo for the next 45 days.

Leave-in by Carol's Daughter

Leave-in by Cantu

A little Shea Butter Oil love this stuff

Can never have too much oil! Argan oil

I plan to make Whipped Shea Butter with this Shea Butter! I will post a blog when I do.

Usually I wear my hair in a high bun so I use lots of gel everyday because I like my hair laiddd! Lol

I use this gel to lay down my edges at night and wrap my hair up.

This edge control was what I use to use but it was way to hard for my hair and I didn't like it so I decided to switch to the one below...
This stuff is EVERYTHING!

These are all the products I will be using for the next 45 days! More than likely I will go out and purchase more Cowash just because Sally's Beauty Supply Store had it for $5.99 and usually its about $9 or $10!

Wish me Luck!
Here is a picture of me with the bun that I normally wear :)
